Privacy Policy — MVS Student Portal

This Privacy Policy explains how MVS Foundation ("we", "us") handles information in the MVS Student Portal app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account details you or MVS Foundation provide: your name, student/reference ID, phone number and email address, used to identify you and give access to your dashboard.
Academic information linked to your enrolment: study material accessed, assignments/TMA, marks, attendance and similar records shown inside your portal.
A secure login token that is stored on your device so you stay signed in, and is used by the app to check for your notifications.
Notifications and messages we send you about your studies, exams and updates.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, location or microphone. The app has no advertising and no third-party ad or analytics trackers.

How we use your information

To provide and personalise your student dashboard and study material.
To keep you securely logged in and enforce single-device sessions.
To send you important updates and reminders through app notifications.
To provide support and improve the Service.

Files you download

When you download a document (such as a TMA front page or receipt), the file is saved to your device's Downloads. These files stay on your device; we do not upload or read them.

Notifications

With your permission, the app shows notifications for new updates. You can turn notifications off any time from your phone's Settings → Apps → MVS Student Portal → Notifications.

Sharing & service providers

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is processed on our behalf only by trusted infrastructure providers that host and secure the Service (database and hosting). They may process data only to run the Service and under confidentiality obligations.

Data security & retention

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We keep your information for as long as you remain enrolled with MVS Foundation and as required to provide the Service or by law, after which it is removed.

Children & students

The Service is provided to enrolled students of MVS Foundation, an education organisation. Where a student is a minor, the account is created and used with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian or the institution.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Logging out and uninstalling the app removes the login token and notifications from your device.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
